Job summary

We are recruiting a Finance Assistant – Sales Ledger & Credit Control for a Bristol-based business, via the eFinancialCareers platform. The role offers scope to own accounts, improve processes and develop skills across finance functions.

You will process invoices, manage the sales ledger and cash allocation, and work with Sales and Customer Operations to resolve payment issues. AAT study support is available and progression opportunities exist.

Qualifications

• Experience in finance or accounts administration, ideally with sales ledger and credit control exposure.
• Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in data handling.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and stay organised.
• Experience with ERP/finance systems such as Sage, SAP or Dynamics is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Process and raise customer invoices and credit notes.
• Maintain accurate customer accounts and sales ledger records.
• Allocate customer payments and investigate unallocated cash.
• Reconcile the sales ledger and issue customer statements.
• Proactively chase overdue payments and manage aged debt.
• Build relationships with customers to resolve invoice queries and payment disputes.
• Assist with credit checks and credit limit assessments.
• Support month-end processes and cash collection forecasts.
