Job summary

Morgan McKinley (South West) is recruiting a Finance Assistant - Sales Ledger & Credit Control for a growing Bristol-based family-owned business. The role combines sales ledger, accounts receivable, credit control and reporting, with scope to own customer accounts and influence finance processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in finance or accounts administration with exposure to sales ledger and credit control.
• Strong attention to detail and high accuracy.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and stay organised.

Responsibilities

• Process and raise customer invoices and credit notes.
• Maintain accurate customer accounts and sales ledger records.
• Allocate customer payments and investigate unallocated cash.
• Reconcile the sales ledger and issue customer statements.
• Proactively chase overdue payments and manage aged debt.
• Build relationships with customers to resolve invoice queries.
• Support cash collection forecasts and month‑end processes.
• Assist with credit applications and credit limits.
