Job summary

Alexander Daniels are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing organisation for a Finance Assistant to join their finance team.

Working closely with an experienced Finance Manager, you’ll gain exposure to a broad range of accounting and finance responsibilities, making this an ideal role for someone who wants to move beyond transactional finance and develop into a more rounded accounting position.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in finance with exposure to transactional finance.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to work independently.
• Ambition to progress to broader accounting responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchase invoices and ensure supplier payments are accurate and on time.
• Raise sales invoices, monitor receivables and support credit control.
• Complete bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations.
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns and assist with month-end processes.
• Support monthly management accounts and KPI reporting.
