Job summary

Avidity is seeking a Finance Assistant to join our Glasgow finance team on a hybrid basis. The role focuses on month-end journals, cashbooks, reconciliations, and collaboration with HR and client teams. It is a full-time fixed-term contract until February 2027 with potential for longer-term opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, be proficient with Excel, and comfortable with debits/credits. NetSuite, SAP or Xero experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role and comfortable with debits and credits.
• Strong Excel skills are essential.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and processing month end journals
• Completing weekly cashbooks on NetSuite and preparing bank reconciliations
• Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Working closely with HR and Client Teams, managing manual banking payments as required
• Assisting with processing of monthly expenses and supporting with the expenses mailbox
• Assisting with preparation work for year end and audit
