Axon Moore is partnering with a growing business in Stockport to recruit a Finance Assistant to join their team, offering a varied and hands-on role in a supportive finance function. You will gain exposure across purchase and sales invoices, reconciliations, month-end activities, and KPI reporting while collaborating with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Previous finance experience or graduate with a minimum 2.1 degree.
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive approach and willingness to get involved across a varied role.
• Good communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Processing purchase invoices, sales invoices and credit notes accurately and promptly.
• Reconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies.
• Supporting month-end and year-end processes and report preparation.
• Assisting with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities.
• Managing the finance inbox and responding to stakeholder queries.
• Maintaining accurate financial records across internal systems.
• Supporting expense reporting and employee reimbursements.
• Collaborating with the wider business to ensure efficient processes.
