Qualifications

• Previous finance experience or graduate with a minimum 2.1 degree.
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive approach and willingness to get involved across a varied role.
• Good communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Processing purchase invoices, sales invoices and credit notes accurately and promptly.
• Reconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies.
• Supporting month-end and year-end processes and report preparation.
• Assisting with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities.
• Managing the finance inbox and responding to stakeholder queries.
• Maintaining accurate financial records across internal systems.
• Supporting expense reporting and employee reimbursements.
• Collaborating with the wider business to ensure efficient processes.

Location: Stockport + Hybrid

Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 DOE + Study Support

Main duties:

• Processing purchase invoices, sales invoices and credit notes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• Reconciling supplier statements and investigating any discrepancies.
• Supporting the Finance team with month end and year-end processes, including report preparation.
• Assisting with both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities.
• Managing the finance inbox and responding to queries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records across internal systems.
• Supporting expense reporting and employee reimbursements.
• Working collaboratively with the wider business to ensure efficient processes and a high level of service.

Person specification:

We're looking for someone who is organised, detail-focused and proactive, with a genuine interest in developing their finance career.

• Previous experience within a finance role or be an Accountancy & Finance graduate with a minimum 2.1 degree.
• Strong numerical accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• A proactive approach and willingness to get involved across a varied role.
• Good communication skills and confidence liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
