Job summary

Casanovas Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting a Finance Assistant for a growing business. This role offers exposure to multiple areas of finance, including payroll and administration, and is ideal for someone looking to broaden experience within a supportive environment.

You will support day-to-day finance operations, ensure processes are accurate, and develop your career in finance while working within a friendly team.

Qualifications

• Be studying towards an AAT qualification or have a strong desire to develop within finance.
• Experience using Sage 50 Accounts and Microsoft Excel is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Sales Ledger: setting up and maintaining customer accounts, issuing pro-forma invoices, raising project invoices, resolving discrepancies.
• VAT Administration: assisting with quarterly VAT returns and overseas VAT compliance.
• General Finance & Administration: statutory/statistical returns, maintaining digital records, petty cash reconciliation, general support.
• Expenses: processing employee expenses including mileage and credit card claims, supporting expense system implementation.
• Payroll & Pensions: setting up employees on payroll, processing amendments, monthly calculations, pension enrolment and queries.
