Job summary

Lee Fire & Security Ltd is seeking a Finance Assistant to support the Managing Director while developing the finance function. This full-time role based in Edmonton, London, offers a competitive salary and opportunities for personal development.

Qualifications

• AAT Level 3 or 4 qualifications required or equivalent experience.
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic individual with good technical accounting skills.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and v-lookups.

Responsibilities

• Working alongside the Director of Finance to develop the finance function.
• Overseeing Accounts Payable using advanced AI character recognition technology.
• Conducting weekly bank reconciliations and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensuring accurate posting and management of expense creditors/accounts payable.
• Reconciling intercompany accounts and generating sales invoices.
• Credit Control – following up on overdue sales invoices.
• Managing petty cash and staff expenses.
• Assisting with general accounting tasks and month-end reporting.
• Investigating budget vs. actual variances.
• Supporting the Finance team with ad hoc cost & revenue analysis projects.
