Job summary

Rec Financial in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join a growing SME. You will handle purchase and sales ledgers, support month-end close, and work across stock and margin data with accuracy.

You’ll enjoy a hands-on, varied role with a flexible part-time to full-time arrangement and on-site parking, commutable from surrounding towns in Leicestershire and beyond.

Qualifications

• Experience in transactional finance.
• Proficient in Xero and MS Excel.
• Analytical and detail-oriented with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process sales and purchase ledger invoices, resolving queries.
• Post cash receipts to the sales ledger.
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements weekly.
• Support month-end close.
• Maintain and reconcile the purchase ledger and supplier statements.
• Manage credit control activities.
• Produce weekly stock-value and slow-mover reports.
• Assist with quarterly VAT returns.
• Post journals, credit notes and expense claims.
• Provide wider admin support to the finance team and cover office as needed.
