Job summary

CT Fire Protection Ltd in South Kilworth, Leicestershire, is seeking a Finance Assistant to join our team. You will report to the Managing Director and support the Group Finance Director in day-to-day financial operations for a growing business with a turnover around £3.5 million.

The role offers variety, hands-on accounting, and opportunities to improve controls and processes. Office-based with own transport required due to location.

Qualifications

• Experience in SME accounting with end-to-end transactions and reporting.
• Ability to manage reconciliations, journals, and VAT/compliance basics.
• Studying towards a professional finance qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA).
• Strong systems experience (Excel, Sage) and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and receivable, supplier invoices, payments, and credit control.
• Oversee daily finance operations including journals, GL upkeep, cash flow, reconciliations, and payroll support.
• Assist with monthly/annual reports, management accounts, budgets, and HMRC compliance.
