Job summary

Hudson Shribman is seeking a Finance Assistant to join its manufacturing finance team in a fully office-based role in the South East. The position focuses on transactional finance, covering accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, reporting and month-end activities.

Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will process invoices, manage payments and maintain ledgers. The role supports year-end activities and monthly reports, with study support available for an AAT qualification.

Qualifications

• Solid transactional finance experience.
• Good understanding of bookkeeping principles.
• Experience with supplier accounts and reconciliations.
• Exposure to month-end accounting procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records in line with procedures and internal controls.
• Process sales and revenue invoices, including staged payments, using ERP.
• Manage customer account reconciliations, credit control and allocation of payments.
• Process supplier invoices and maintain accounts payable records in ERP.
• Reconcile supplier accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare weekly supplier payment runs for review and approval.
• Assist with month-end activities including accruals and journals.
• Support year-end accounts preparation and liaise with auditors.
