Job summary

Ips Group is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join the finance team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role focuses on processing supplier invoices, maintaining the purchase ledger and ensuring timely payments in line with terms.

You will contribute to month-end activities, reconciliations and the preparation of financial information to support reporting and audit requirements. Collaboration with Procurement and Production will be essential.

Qualifications

• AAT qualification or equivalent.
• Proficient in Excel and finance systems.
• Strong attention to detail on high-volume tasks.
• Willing to adapt to system and process improvements.
• Good communication and a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices, credit notes and expenses accurately.
• Check invoices against purchase orders and goods received notes.
• Maintain the purchase ledger and supplier accounts.
• Prepare supplier payment runs in line with terms.
• Respond to supplier enquiries professionally.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Goods In, Production on discrepancies.
• Support month-end close with reconciliations and journals.
• Assist with VAT submissions and other reporting.
