Job summary

The Roof Gardens, a London-based social club in Kensington, is seeking a proactive Finance Assistant to support day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accurate records, timely processing, and high-quality reporting.

You will handle accounts payable, VAT preparation, reconciliations and month-end tasks, work with the broader Finance team, and contribute to efficient processes and financial analysis.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or similar transactional finance role.
• Understanding of accounts payable, reconciliations and basic accounting principles.
• Strong numeracy with Excel and financial systems; ability to work with financial data.
• Attention to detail, methodical and able to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support accounts payable processes, including supplier invoice processing and payments.
• Assist VAT return preparation with supporting analysis and reconciliations.
• Support routine daily, weekly and monthly finance processes and reporting.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and complete balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support month-end processes and ensure deadlines are met.
• Provide general finance administration and financial analysis as required.
• Collaborate with Finance and operations teams to maintain efficient processes.
