Job summary

Morgan McKinley is looking for an experienced Finance Assistant - Assistant Accountant to join a great business based in the Horsham, West Sussex area. The Finance Assistant - Assistant Accountant will support the Financial Controller with day-to-day accounting tasks.

Location: Office based - Horsham, West Sussex. Salary: £27K. Hours: Monday to Friday 9-5. Key duties include processing purchase invoices, assisting with year-end audit, and supporting balance sheet reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Assistant Accountant or Finance Assistant role.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase invoices and prepare the monthly payment run.
• Assist with the annual year-end statutory audit.
• Support bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate supplier records.
• Assist with analysing the management accounts.
• Raise and control the issue of purchase orders.

• Experience working in a similar Assistant Accountant or Finance Assistant type role
• Be AAT qualified or an ACCA / CIMA studier - keen to study
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
