Join Our Team as a Finance Assistant!

Location: Stafford | Contract Type: Temporary, Temp-Perm | Hourly Rate: £13.72

Are you ready to embark on a rewarding journey in the world of finance within the vibrant education sector? We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our friendly team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing financial reports and budgets.
• Input purchase orders into the accounting software for designated academies as part of the central purchasing function.
• Process invoices.
• Maintain accurate financial records and databases.
• Enter new customer and supplier details into Access Finance.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including assisting with credit control and debt collection.
• Collaborate with staff across departments to ensure financial compliance.
• Prepare annual estimates and regular reports on income and expenditure, monitor accounts against budgets, and report as required.
• Maintain payroll processing systems and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data.
• Process employee changes in accordance with employment terms and conditions.
• Perform payroll data reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Assist in preparing payroll and pension reports, analyze variances, and provide insights.
• Carry out monthly balance sheet reconciliations and support year-end processes by providing payroll data to auditors.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in finance or accounting preferred.
• Familiarity with financial software and Microsoft Excel.
