Role: Finance Assistant (Maternity Cover)

Location: Hayes

Salary: GBP22,000 GBP26,000 per annum

Working Hours: 7:45am to 3:30pm

GSL Education are seeking a number of dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Assistants, starting in June 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to support the finance function within a vibrant and supportive educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Administration: Assist with day-to-day financial operations, including processing invoices, purchase orders, and payments.
• Budget Support: Help manage departmental budgets, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
• Payroll Assistance: Support payroll processing and maintain accurate staff records.
• Bank Reconciliation: Monitor bank statements, reconcile transactions, and resolve discrepancies.
• Audit Preparation: Provide support during audits, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
• Reporting: Generate financial reports for internal and external stakeholders as required.

Requirements for the Role:

• Previous experience in a finance or accounts assistant role, preferably within an educational or public sector setting
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
• AAT qualification (or working towards) is desirable
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL Education
