Improvement Service is seeking a Finance Assistant to support the finance team in delivering sound financial management within the organisation. The postholder will contribute to finance team goals and take responsibility for key finance tasks in a blended office/remote setup.
The role requires strong numeracy, the ability to prioritise workload, and experience with finance systems. A Disclosure Scotland check is required; training and benefits are provided in a supportive environment.
Duration of contract: 2 years with possibility of extension

The postholder will be an experienced Finance Assistant who will contribute to finance team goals.

A Disclosure Scotland Certificate will be required which will be paid for by the Improvement Service.
Location: West Lothian Civic Centre, Howden South Road, Livingston, West Lothian EH54 6FF.
It is anticipated that the role will involve a blended model of office and home working, and this flexible approach will be agreed between employee and line manager.
Duration: 2 Years with possibility of extension
A competence based interview will take place on Wednesday 19th August 2026 (shortlisted candidates will be advised by email a week in advance of the interview).
