Finance Assistant - Hounslow

Location: Hounslow Pay: 14 - 16.50 per hour Contract: Full-time

We are recruiting a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join a busy school in Hounslow. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong numerical skills, financial administration experience, and a passion for supporting the smooth operation of school finances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with day-to-day financial administration including processing invoices, purchase orders, and payments.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and support the preparation of reports for the School Business Manager and senior leadership.
  • Reconcile accounts, monitor budgets, and track expenditure to ensure compliance with school policies.
  • Support the management of school income, including invoicing, cash handling, and banking procedures.
  • Assist with payroll administration, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, audit requirements, and safeguarding procedures.
  • Liaise with staff, suppliers, and external stakeholders regarding financial queries.
  • Support the implementation of financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Person Specification
Essential
  • Strong numerical and administrative skills with attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in finance or accounts administration, preferably in a school or educational setting.
