Heart of Bucks, the Community Foundation for Buckinghamshire, is seeking an enthusiastic Finance Assistant to support day-to-day bookkeeping and finance administration within a charity setting.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will manage company bank accounts, handle accounts payable and receivable, process gift aid, and respond to routine finance queries with accuracy and discretion. Experience with data protection and financial controls is essential, and a willingness to learn is valued.
Heart of Bucks are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Finance Assistant to support the day-to-day finance functions of our charity. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role's purpose is to provide accurate, timely and confidential finance administration and bookkeeping support, helping ensure financial processes, records and reporting are well-managed., This role will support the day-to-day finance functions of our charity, looking after the company bank accounts, being responsible for the accounts payable and accounts receivable duties, gift aid processing and acting as the first point of contact for any routine finance queries.
To be effective in this role, you'll have prior bookkeeping experience and understanding of financial controls, confidentiality and data protection. You'll need to be able to process financial information accurately and maintain records in line with organisational. Your great communication skills will be required to engage with the broad range of stakeholders and suppliers we work with. Strong administrative and organisational skills will be required to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Experience of Sage 50 would be really helpful in this role, but please don't be put off applying if you don't have all the skills we need, so long as you are willing and able to learn as you go.
