Job summary

Reed Finance are helping a leading organisation in Portlethen to recruit a Finance Assistant for their growing finance team. The role suits an organised individual with strong numerical skills who enjoys a fast-paced engineering environment.

You will support day-to-day finance operations, including processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and assisting with monthly management accounts and audits. AAT qualification or studying toward accounting is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in finance/accounts role.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
• AAT qualification or currently studying toward accounting qualification.

Responsibilities

• Processing purchase invoices and supplier payments.
• Reconciling bank statements and supplier accounts.
• Assisting with monthly management accounts preparation.
• Assisting with VAT returns and other finance compliance tasks.
• Monitoring purchase orders and cost tracking across projects.
• Providing general administrative support to the finance team.
• Supporting audits and year-end accounting activities.
