Job summary

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is offering an 18–22 month Finance Apprenticeship. The role starts with 37.5 hours per week and includes full training on Finance systems, alongside a dedicated Finance Manager to support progression.

Applicants should have 5 GCSEs (5-9) including Maths & English and 2 A levels (or equivalent). You will gain NHS experience and study toward the AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs grade 5-9 (or equivalent) including Maths & English.
• 2 A levels (or equivalent).
• Basic keyboard and computer skills are essential.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn to produce monthly management information using Trust financial systems.
• Post accounting journals to reflect the financial position.
• Support draft accounts for monthly review by the team.
• Plan, organise and manage time effectively within a team.
• Engage with the study programme and submit assignments on time.
