Job summary

ABP UK is offering an apprenticeship in Finance based at Yetminster, near Sherborne. You will join the finance team, supporting daily reporting and data handling while studying for a Level 3 AAT qualification.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours, with a path to further qualifications within ABP UK. The programme emphasises developing technical accounting skills, exposure to month-end processes, and collaboration with managers at site and Head Office.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at minimum grade 4/C and 5/B or above.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to take direction.
• Ability to challenge others in a professional and constructive manner.
• Self-motivated with a positive outlook and high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with consolidation and analysis of daily/weekly/monthly financial reporting within set timescales.
• Maintain Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger records and data compilation.
• Assist in KPI reporting and share results with stakeholders.
• Produce accurate information and reports for managers as needed.
• Collaborate with finance team and site/head office colleagues.
• Support payroll and procurement processes where required.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the finance function.
