Job summary

Dover District Council is seeking an Income and Payments Apprentice to support our finance team. Gain hands-on experience in a busy finance environment while working towards a recognised qualification.

The role involves processing invoices, managing income and payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. You will develop practical skills with structured training and support throughout the apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 GCSEs (or equivalent), English and Maths (desirable).
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail essential.
• Basic IT skills with ability to learn financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Support the management of income and payments.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Assist with data entry and financial reconciliation.
