Job summary

LAWTECH GROUP LTD is seeking a diligent Apprentice Accounts Assistant to support the finance team while working toward AAT Level 2. You’ll gain hands-on experience across Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Credit Control, Cash Book, Credit Cards, Expenses and project accounting.

Training will be provided, with responsibilities increasing as skills develop. The role is based in the office and runs 9:00am–5:30pm, Monday to Friday, for a duration of 1 year.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at minimum grade C/4 or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good IT skills and proficiency with MS Office.
• Ability to learn accounting software and processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the GRN inbox and attach supplier delivery notes to purchase orders in Sage.
• Process allocated supplier invoices and match to purchase orders.
• Check invoices against PO details and verify accuracy.
• Liaise with site teams and commercial to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain records of outstanding invoice queries and progress resolutions.
• Assist with monthly supplier statement reconciliations.
