Job description

Finance Apprentice (42-month fixed term contract)

Job ID: 10598583 | Amazon UK Services Ltd.

Amazon strive to be Earth's most customer-centric company where people can find and discover virtually anything they want to buy online. As we continue to grow and innovate, we're seeking Finance Apprentices to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll gain hands‑on experience in financial management while working alongside industry experts, developing expertise in accountancy, taxation, and business strategy. This is your opportunity to launch your finance career at a company that's redefining the future of commerce, where you'll contribute to strategic business decisions that shape Amazon's future.

Key job responsibilities
  • Collaborating with cross‑functional teams on high‑impact projects
  • Analysing financial data to uncover insights and drive decision‑making
  • Providing financial suggestions to stakeholders
  • Participating in client meetings and presentations
  • Learn from industry experts through mentorship and training programmes
  • Applying your skills to real‑world business needs

We welcome candidates from all backgrounds who have a genuine passion for finance and business insight, with strong problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication is paramount - you'll build trusted, lasting relationships and work effectively with teams across the business. You'll bring an eagerness to learn and grow professionally, taking ownership of projects to deliver high‑quality work to the right timelines. You'll also need to be flexible, adapting your approach to help stakeholders manage conflicting priorities as circumstances change.

Here at Amazon, it's in our nature to learn and be curious. Within this apprenticeship you’ll have the opportunity to learn by doing, putting newfound knowledge into practice every day. Our first‑class coaching, tailored development opportunities, and rewarding work will empower you to reach new heights. If you’re a curious learner eager to grow, this is your chance to unlock your full potential and build the future you envision.

You’ll work towards the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) certification alongside the Level 7 apprenticeship standard. As a working student, your focus during your 20% off‑the‑job time is to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours that lead to successful graduation. You'll be set goals by your training provider and manager to support your studies.

You’ll build your skills over a 42‑month period, starting in September, developing both personally and professionally. Your apprenticeship combines classroom and virtual training to cover the knowledge, on‑the‑job training at your Amazon base location, online learning, and mentoring from our experienced team members.

We value different perspectives and experiences, and we're dedicated to creating an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. Our employee‑led affinity groups – including communities for women in tech, LGBTQ+ employees, and underrepresented minorities – foster a culture of inclusion that empowers us to be proud of our differences. These groups provide community, mentorship, and a platform for your voice to be heard. We're committed to building a workforce that reflects the customers and communities we serve.

We're continuously raising our performance bar as we strive to become Earth's Best Employer. That's why you'll find endless knowledge‑sharing, mentorship, and other career‑advancing resources here to help you develop into a better‑rounded professional.

Your career isn't a straight path - it's a journey you build as you go. A universe of opportunity awaits, and your next adventure starts here.

Please note: as part of your off‑the‑job learning, you may be required to travel to a training centre, and this location may differ from your primary work base. Candidates should be prepared for occasional travel as part of the programme. Apprentices at Amazon may be assigned to projects across different business areas, which can include work involving sales of products such as alcohol or pork. We recognise that applicants may have personal or religious considerations related to these areas and encourage candidates to discuss any concerns early in the process so that we can explore possible accommodations early in the process.
