Citizens Advice Telford and The Wrekin is looking for a Finance and Business Support Officer to strengthen its finance and administrative systems.
This is a varied and flexible role providing accurate and timely support to the Finance Manager and Chief Executive. You will help the organisation run effectively by carrying out day-to-day bookkeeping, processing invoices and payments, reconciling accounts, maintaining accurate records and providing wider business administration support.
The role also includes supporting HR record-keeping, maintaining the organisational policy and procedure register, responding to routine information requests and assisting the Senior Management Team with agreed projects and deadlines. You will receive regular supervision and relevant training to help you develop your knowledge, confidence and responsibilities.
We’re looking for an organised, approachable and reliable person with practical experience of finance, bookkeeping or accounts administration. You will have excellent attention to detail, be able to manage competing priorities and communicate confidently with colleagues and external contacts.
You should be comfortable using finance systems such as QuickBooks or similar accounting software and have an AAT qualification, or equivalent relevant knowledge and experience. You will be able to work independently and as part of a small team, handle confidential information appropriately and demonstrate a commitment to equality, inclusion and the values of Citizens Advice.
Experience of charity finance, HR records, policy administration, wider business support or working within the voluntary and community sector would be an advantage
