Job summary

MyEdSpace is an education technology platform enabling teachers to reach students globally. We’re seeking a Finance Analyst to join a lean team in London, driving monthly close, budgeting, forecasting and insightful analysis for leadership and investors.

You’ll own financial modelling, oversee cash flow, payroll and payments, and support year-end audits while collaborating with leadership to optimise the business. This role suits motivated analysts ready to impact scale.

Qualifications

• Strong fundamentals in financial statements, reporting and underlying accounting.
• 1–3 years at a Big 4 or leading mid-tier firm, or in a finance team in industry.
• Ambitious and eager to progress in a fast-growing company.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets with strong financial modelling.
• Commercial mindset with ability to explain complex numbers clearly.
• Curious, questioning mindset with drive for accuracy.
• Automation-focused, proactive about efficiency.
• Comfortable in ambiguous environment with changing priorities.
• Strong organisational skills with track record of meeting deadlines.
• Experience with Xero or similar accounting software; data/reporting tools a plus.
• Self-motivated and autonomous.

Responsibilities

• You'll be a core part of a small finance function, reporting directly to the Finance Manager, with exposure to the leadership team, the board and our investors from early on
• Month end close to deliver management accounts that senior stakeholders can act on with confidence
• Building and maintaining budgeting, forecasting and cash flow processes to inform company strategy
• Analysis and interpretation of business costs and performance against plan, providing insight
• Owning finance operations from payroll through to payments
• End to end responsibility for year end audit, statutory reporting and compliance calendar
• Preparing analysis and materials for the board and investors, with ownership of the financial model over time
• Scanning horizon for bottlenecks and targeting better processes and automation
• Designing and embedding controls for scaling business
• Managing relationships with external partners supporting finance function
