Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Bedford is seeking a Finance Analyst RTR - Controlling to perform month-end close, reporting and analysis across site operations within a 9-month FTC/secondment. You will work with site ops teams, reporting team, BU FCs and shared services to build deep business knowledge and support decision making.

Maintain period end and year end schedules and drive KPI-driven processes with strong Excel and GL experience.

Qualifications

• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Clear, effective communicator with ability to work in a team.
• Experience in finance, particularly GL.
• Knowledge of financial compliance and reporting requirements.
• Experience in accounting in a logistics or similar industry is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close, reporting and analysis for the site/customer.
• Engage with site ops teams, Reporting team, BU FCs and shared services on inputs/outputs.
• Build deep business knowledge to support decision making.
• Maintain period end and year end closing schedules; ensure timely reporting at site level.
• Deliver processes to KPI requirements and support performance management.
• Manage workflow to meet deadlines; assist with ad hoc tasks as required.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, you will be responsible for:

• Perform controlling processes in scope for the respective site/customer like month end, reporting & analysis
• Regular engagement with site ops teams, Reporting team, BU FC's and shared services on inputs and outputs for the completion of common processes
• Build deep business knowledge for the customer/sites in scope to provide support for decision making
• Effectively maintain period end and year end closing schedules for the customer/sites in scope Adherence to finance processes and accurate, timely report production at site/customer level Provide regular updates to the Reporting Manager on process completion, issue resolution and any escalations
• Deliver the processes in scope to the agreed KPI requirements and support performance management
• Manage individual workflow ensuring agreed deadlines are met
• Ad hoc tasks as required Any other purchasing or operational admin related activities as required by the Controller or Manager
