Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Liverpool is seeking a Finance Analyst to join the RTR - Controlling team. The role covers month-end close, reporting and analysis for the site, with hybrid working and a 37.5-hour week.

You will partner with site operations, reporting teams and shared services, maintain period-end schedules, support KPI delivery and contribute to commercial decision making.

Qualifications

• Strong Excel is essential.
• Experience with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Clear, effective communicator.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Experience in finance - GL.
• Knowledge of financial compliance and reporting requirements.
• Experience in accounting in a logistics or similar industry is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform controlling processes in scope for the site/customer, including month end, reporting and analysis.
• Regular engagement with site ops teams, Reporting team, BU FCs and shared services on inputs and outputs for common processes.
• Build deep business knowledge for the customer/sites in scope to support decision making.
• Maintain period end and year end closing schedules for the customer/sites in scope; ensure timely report production at site/customer level; provide updates to Reporting Manager on progress and escalations.
• Deliver processes in scope to the KPI requirements and support performance management.
• Manage individual workflow ensuring deadlines are met.
• Act on ad hoc tasks and other purchasing or operational admin activities as required by Controller or Manager.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, you will be responsible for:

• Perform controlling processes in scope for the respective site/customer like month end, reporting & analysis
• Regular engagement with site ops teams, Reporting team, BU FC's and shared services on inputs and outputs for the completion of common processes
• Build deep business knowledge for the customer/sites in scope to provide support for decision making
• Effectively maintain period end and year end closing schedules for the customer/sites in scope Adherence to finance processes and accurate, timely report production at site/customer level Provide regular updates to the Reporting Manager on process completion, issue resolution and any escalations
• Deliver the processes in scope to the agreed KPI requirements and support performance management
• Manage individual workflow ensuring agreed deadlines are met
• Ad hoc tasks as required Any other purchasing or operational admin related activities as required by the Controller or Manager
