Job summary

DHL is hiring a Finance Analyst RTR - Controlling in Bedford. Hybrid role, 37.5 hours/week, 25 days holiday with potential bonus.

The analyst will perform controlling processes, month-end reporting, and analysis for the site/customer, engaging with ops teams and shared services to ensure timely, accurate financial outputs. The role requires strong Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and experience in GL, with knowledge of financial reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong Excel skills with pivot tables, VLOOKUPs and formulas.
• Clear, effective communicator able to work in a team.
• Experience in finance, especially General Ledger (GL).
• Knowledge of financial compliance and reporting requirements.
• Experience in accounting in a logistics or similar industry is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform controlling processes including month-end, reporting and analysis.
• Engage with site ops teams, Reporting team, BU FCs and shared services to complete processes.
• Build deep knowledge of customer/sites to support decision making.
• Maintain period-end and year-end closing schedules and ensure timely report production.
• Deliver processes to KPI requirements and support performance management.
• Manage workflow to meet deadlines; handle ad hoc admin tasks as required.

DHL, an award-winning, leading supply chain business is seeking a Finance Analyst to play a vital role within our Finance function, performing all accounting processes for their respective operation.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, you will be responsible for:

• Perform controlling processes in scope for the respective site/customer like month end, reporting & analysis
• Regular engagement with site ops teams, Reporting team, BU FC's and shared services on inputs and outputs for the completion of common processes
• Build deep business knowledge for the customer/sites in scope to provide support for decision making
• Effectively maintain period end and year end closing schedules for the customer/sites in scope Adherence to finance processes and accurate, timely report production at site/customer level Provide regular updates to the Reporting Manager on process completion, issue resolution and any escalations
• Deliver the processes in scope to the agreed KPI requirements and support performance management
• Manage individual workflow ensuring agreed deadlines are met
• Ad hoc tasks as required Any other purchasing or operational admin related activities as required by the Controller or Manager
