Job summary

Mode Search is seeking a Finance Analyst to join its finance team in London on an 8-month fixed-term maternity cover contract. The role focuses on financial planning, analysis and commercial decision-making across the UK and Ireland.

You will support FP&A, analyse performance across sales, margins and stock, and help automate reporting for faster, clearer insights. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ FP&A or financial analysis experience, ideally in retail.
• Professionally qualified or working at an equivalent level (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or international equivalent).
• Strong financial modelling, data analysis and data-mining capabilities; advanced Excel; Power BI/Tableau experience.

Responsibilities

• Support FP&A Manager with reporting, planning and forecasting.
• Analyse sales, margins, stock and provisions; identify trends and opportunities.
• Develop and automate reporting processes for efficiency and controls.
• Support month-end and quarterly P&L close, including accruals and allocations.
• Contribute to budgeting and reforecasting with Demand & Supply teams.
• Partner with Commercial, Operations, Demand & Supply and Retail; translate data into actionable insights.
