Job summary

Dorset Council is seeking a Finance Officer to support a key project at Dorset Innovation Park. The role focuses on reviewing historical financial information, analysing income and expenditure from multiple sources, and developing a financial model and dashboard to provide a clear overview of the Park's operational finances.

You will work with Dorset Council and other stakeholders to improve financial visibility and reporting.

Qualifications

Experience developing financial models, dashboards and management reports.
Strong Microsoft Excel and financial analysis skills.
Experience interpreting management information from multiple sources.
Ability to analyse, reconcile and present financial information from multiple sources.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a financial model and dashboard to provide a comprehensive overview of operational finances relating to Dorset Innovation Park.
Review and analyse historical expenditure incurred by Dorset Council, ensuring costs are accurately allocated and recorded.
Investigate and reconcile income and expenditure from a range of third-party sources.
Liaise with Dorset Council colleagues to understand cost codes, budget codes, expenditure, and income associated with the commercial estate.
Collate, interpret, and present complex financial information from multiple sources to support reporting and decision-making.
Review and rationalise legacy financial data to improve accuracy and transparency.
Produce clear management information and financial insights for stakeholders.
