• Supporting monthly reporting, control and month-end processes.
• Producing P&L analysis, investigating movements and preparing information for management reporting.

• Preparing journals, accruals, prepayments, VAT analyses and balance sheet reconciliations.

About the Job

This is a broad Finance Analyst opportunity combining commercial analysis, financial reporting and hands-on finance support. Reporting to the Finance Manager and working closely with senior finance colleagues, you will help transform financial and operational information into meaningful insight while ensuring robust processes and accurate underlying data.

Duties will include:

• Supporting the monthly reporting, control and month-end processes.
• Producing P&L analysis, investigating movements and preparing supporting information for management reporting.
• Managing purchase order information and assisting with matching and resolving discrepancies.
• Building and maintaining Power BI dashboards to provide useful financial and operational insight.
• Developing reports through Sage and helping enhance existing reporting processes.
• Maintaining fixed asset records and preparing depreciation schedules.
• Preparing journals, accruals, prepayments, recharges and other month-end entries for review.
• Supporting VAT analysis and completing relevant reconciliations.
• Completing balance sheet and control account reconciliations and investigating discrepancies.
• Improving the quality of financial data, reporting processes and supporting documentation.

About the Successful Applicant

You will be a part-qualified with a solid understanding of management accounting. Strong Excel and analytical skills are essential, alongside an organised, accurate approach and confident communication with finance and non-finance colleagues. Experience with Sage 200, Power BI, VAT, fixed assets would be advantageous.
