Four Squared Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Finance Analyst to join a fast-paced team in the Manchester area. You will deliver meaningful analysis and reporting that informs decisions, support budgeting and forecasting, and partner with stakeholders across departments to improve business performance.

The role is ideal for a part-qualified ACCA/CIMA candidate or an experienced analyst who enjoys challenging performance and driving continuous improvement within a growing organisation.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified toward ACCA or CIMA.
• Experience in a Finance Analyst, Commercial Analyst, Assistant Management Accountant or similar role.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex information.

Responsibilities

• Produce weekly and monthly financial reports, ensuring accurate and timely performance reporting.
• Support the budgeting, forecasting and rolling forecast processes.
• Provide detailed analysis on revenue, margins, operational costs and business performance.
• Deliver insightful variance analysis, identifying key drivers behind performance movements.
• Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders to support planning and decision-making.
• Prepare financial commentary for monthly reporting packs and leadership review meetings.
• Monitor departmental overheads and ensure costs are understood and appropriately controlled.
• Support the management and analysis of operational costs, identifying opportunities for efficiencies and improved performance.
• Develop reporting tools and dashboards to improve visibility and support business understanding.
• Assist with business cases, project analysis and ad-hoc commercial initiatives.
• Challenge assumptions, provide recommendations and help drive a data-led decision-making culture.

Finance Analyst

Are you a commercially focused finance professional looking for a role where you can make a genuine impact on business performance?

We're recruiting for a Finance Analyst to join a growing and fast-paced organisation. Reporting into the Finance Manager, you'll play a key role in providing financial insight, supporting decision-making, and partnering with stakeholders across a variety of departments.

This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) or an experienced analyst who enjoys working closely with the wider business, challenging performance, and helping drive continuous improvement.

The Role

As Finance Analyst, you'll be responsible for delivering meaningful analysis and reporting that helps key stakeholders understand performance, identify trends, and make informed business decisions. You'll support budgeting and forecasting activities, provide detailed financial analysis, and work alongside operational and commercial teams to ensure plans remain on track and aligned with wider business objectives. This is a highly visible role that offers exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence decision-making across the business.

About You

• Part-qualified or studying toward completion of ACCA or CIMA.
• Previous experience in a Finance Analyst, Commercial Analyst, Assistant Management Accountant or similar role.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex information.
• Excellent communication skills with confidence working with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Commercially aware with a natural curiosity for understanding what drives business performance.
• Proactive, organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
