Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a Finance Analyst to join our London team on a permanent basis. You will prepare, evaluate, maintain, and deliver accurate financial reports for a portfolio of clients and properties.

You will work within the Financial Strategy and Operations function, maintaining accounting policies and controls while supporting scenario planning and management requests. This role requires strong MS Office skills and solid analytical abilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with up to 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
  • Experience with analyzing information and making judgments.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
  • Intermediate math skills and financial calculations.

Responsibilities

  • Complete accounting transactions in preparation of client financial statement packages.
  • Create and post journal entries and ensure all expenses, receipts, owner distributions and funding requests are properly posted.
  • Use aggregate data from multiple sources to generate reports.
  • Generate financial packages for accuracy and comprehensive reporting.
  • Review information for accuracy and respond to management and vendor requests.
  • Understand scenario planning tools and analyze business trends.
  • Respond to and resolve accounting issues raised by management and clients.
  • Research open accounting issues and anticipate potential conflicts.
  • Apply existing procedures to solve standard problems.

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Finance Analyst to join the team located in London on a permanent basis.

About the Role:

As a CBRE Finance Analyst, you will apply basic cash and accrual accounting fundamentals to prepare, evaluate, maintain, and deliver complete and accurate financial reports for a portfolio of clients and properties.

This job is part of the Financial Strategy and Operations job function. They are responsible for maintaining accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls.

What You’ll Do:
  • Complete accounting transactions in preparation of client financial statement packages.
  • Create and post journal entries and ensure that all expenses, receipts, owner's distributions, funding requests, and other transactions for the accounting period have been accurately posted.
  • Use aggregate data from multiple sources to generate reports.
  • Generate financial packages for accuracy and comprehensive reporting.
  • Review the accuracy of information provided and respond to requests from management and vendors.
  • Understand and work with scenario planning (exit/maintain/grow) tools/models, while analyzing trends in general business conditions.
  • Respond to and resolve issues and requests from management teams and clients regarding various accounting issues and reports.
  • Research open accounting issues and recognize potential issues and conflicts so corrective action can intercept and minimize issues.
  • Use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
  • Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practice experience in applying them.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Impact the quality of own work.
  • Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.
What You’ll Need:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with up to 3 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
  • Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
  • Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
