Solent Mind is recruiting a Finance Administrator to join the Finance Team in Southampton with home working. The role supports the accounting service and helps budget holders deliver mental health services, with training provided and a varied workload.
The position covers governance support for SMT and the Board, along with general admin tasks and effective data management. 37 hours per week; salary £24,975 to £26,905 pro rata per annum.

About the role
This is an opportunity to join the Solent Mind Finance Team as a Finance Administrator. The role helps deliver an effective accounting service and help our budget holders to deliver the mental health support services they provide. This is an opportunity to work within a dynamic and evolving Finance Team to improve processes, data quality and make a difference. Training will be provided and the work is varied and interesting due to our portfolio of charitable activities.
This role will also support with general administrative tasks such as supporting effective governance for the Senior Management Team (SMT), along with general admin including email inboxes, updating rota schedules and coordinating centrally held records. You will also provide support administration for the Board including meetings, annual reporting checklists, supporting inductions and events.
About you
You will need the experience and skills to quickly learn the role covering the main finance transactional functions and general administrative support tasks. You will need good IT and communication skills to help improve the service to Senior Management Team and to budget holders. You will need to have problem solving skills, able to generate ideas and identify opportunities to benefit colleagues.
