Job summary

Zachary Daniels Recruitment in Warrington is seeking a Finance Administrator for a graduate opportunity. The role covers payroll, invoices, stock and general administration, with exposure to the finance and operations teams.

You will support payroll for 13 staff, process supplier documentation and help manage projects. The position offers long-term development in a growing manufacturing/engineering business with a competitive salary.

Qualifications

  • Recent Finance, Accounting, Business or related graduate.
  • Numerate, analytical and comfortable with figures.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Clear and confident communicator; proactive and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare weekly wage information for 13 employees.
  • Maintain payroll data and assist with reporting.
  • Complete weekly pension file uploads and CIS submissions.
  • Query and amend invoices against purchase orders.
  • Process expenses, charge cards, floats and travel claims.
  • Complete internet banking and BACS transfers.
  • Assist with recharges and fund transfers between jobs.
  • Prepare and distribute wage slips.
  • Raise and process purchase orders, including expense-related orders.
  • Set up new vendors and complete supplier documentation.
  • Maintain inventory transactions using the Visual system.
  • Make stock adjustments, book in stock and check availability.
  • Enter label ticket data to record hours and allocate time to jobs.
  • Open new jobs and maintain accurate project records.
  • Manage incoming calls, emails, post and deliveries.
  • Welcome visitors and maintain a professional reception area.
  • Support employee onboarding, including contracts and starter documentation.
  • Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets.
  • Provide general administrative support to the wider team.

Finance Administrator | Graduate Opportunity| Warrington | £26,000-£28,000 DOE

Monday-Thursday: 8:00am-4:30pm | Friday: 8:00am-3:30pm

An established manufacturing and engineering business in Warrington is looking for a Finance Administrator to join its growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone at the start of their finance career who is keen to learn, develop and build their experience within a successful and supportive business.

You might be a recent Finance, Accounting, Business or related graduate looking for your first step into industry, or perhaps you already have some finance or administration experience and are looking for a role where you can broaden your skills and take on more responsibility.

About the role

This is a varied role that will give you exposure to a broad range of finance, purchasing, stock, payroll and general business administration.You’ll work closely with the Finance and Operations teams, learning how different areas of the business work together and gaining valuable hands-on commercial experience. You’ll also be based at the front desk, making you an important first point of contact for visitors and incoming calls.

No two days will be exactly the same, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and wants to develop a strong understanding of how a busy business operates.
