Job summary

Alexander Daniels Finance Recruitment is seeking a Finance & Accounts Manager to lead the finance operations of a growing business in the UK. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, robust records, and compliance with internal controls while developing a high-performing team.

Based in our office, you will oversee accounts payable, reconciliation, budgeting inputs, and monthly reporting to the Head of Finance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in financial management and team leadership.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial reporting.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Accounts Payable team.
• Oversee the reconciliation and review of accounts.
• Accurate input of client budgets.
• Allocate and monitor workloads, ensuring deadlines are met and high standards are maintained.
• Develop team training plans and conduct regular performance reviews.
• Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
• Oversee supplier invoice processing and payment runs.
• Ensure supplier reconciliations and aged creditor reports are accurate and up to date.
• Support audit processes and maintain accurate documentation.
• Maintain and update internal systems and accounting software with accurate site data.
• Ensure all financial activity complies with internal controls and finance policies.
• Provide regular financial reports to the Head of Finance, including weekly debtor data and monthly accruals.
• Identify and propose improvements to financial systems and workflows (subject to approval).
