Job summary

Vibe Recruit is recruiting a Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant in Malvern, Worcestershire. Salary £26,000–£27,000, 25–35 hours per week, permanent with either full-time or part-time options. On-site gym and a supportive environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an accounts, finance administration, credit control or similar role.
• Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Confident communication skills, particularly when dealing with payment queries and outstanding balances.
• The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team.
• A professional, approachable manner and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, payments and expenses.
• Maintain accurate financial records and tenant accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Support credit control and rent collection activities, contacting tenants regarding outstanding payments via telephone, email and written correspondence.
• Complete bank reconciliations and ensure financial transactions are accurately recorded.
• Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements.
• Maintain and update financial databases using Xero and Microsoft Excel.
• Monitor outstanding balances and produce regular reports on arrears, payment status and collection progress.
• Provide day-to-day administrative support to the finance and property management teams.
• Ensure financial processes are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
• Assist with audits and other ad hoc finance-related projects.
