Job summary

Hewett Recruitment is working with a Malvern-based manufacturing business to recruit a Finance Assistant. This fully office-based role offers a salary of £25,000–£26,000 plus a bonus and excellent benefits.

You will report to the Financial Controller and support day-to-day finance tasks, including purchases, cashbooks, reconciliations, expenses, and reporting. Ideal for someone with basic accounting experience and strong Excel skills seeking growth within a growing company.

Qualifications

• Previous basic accounting experience
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Confidence using Microsoft Excel
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach

Responsibilities

• Assist with and provide cover for the purchase ledger
• Post cashbook payments and receipts
• Complete weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
• Process employee expenses
• Support twice-monthly payment runs
• Maintain key monthly spreadsheets (credit note logs, pricing reports, mileage trackers)
• Assist with ad hoc finance duties
