We are looking for the next rising star to develop their skills and work within our Finance Department.
If you are organised, a team player, enthusiastic and willing to learn, then we want you to be part of our Financial Accounts Team.
Alongside this full-time administrative role you will be enrolled onto the Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship Programme and will be expected to study and complete assignments to achieve a recognised Level 3 AAT qualification. The apprenticeship will include the expectation to complete the Level 3 Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship within a 18 month timeframe which includes an end point assessment.
Main duties of the job
- Under the direction of the Senior Operational Finance Manager the apprentice will provide efficient and effective administrative support to the Management Accounts team whilst completing an apprenticeship.
- General office administrative duties include the collection and delivery of notes, sorting of incoming and outgoing post, responding to queries from internal and external sources, and other administrative tasks. The apprentice will be required to work as part of a team, have a flexible attitude to work and following training provide cross cover during periods of staff absence.
- The apprentice will receive Induction and training appropriate to the activities they will undertake, and following this induction period will be enrolled to the Level 3 Diploma in Accounting qualification with an approved provider.
- Build effective and supportive relationships with budget holders, managers and corporate colleagues including external agencies.
- Organise and prioritise workload, ensuring that work is completed in line with financial timescales and legal requirements.
- Assist in the review of processes/procedures within the scope of responsibilities to identify improvement areas.
- Assist in implementing policies and controls within the department, and also contribute to the development of new or amended policies within scope of responsibilities.
