- Support end‑to‑end monthly, quarterly and annual close and reporting activities.
- Prepare and post journals, accruals, prepayments and other accounting entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
- Prepare balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations, investigating and resolving differences.
- Account for holding‑company activities including intercompany transactions, corporate costs, investments, financing, interest and dividends.
- Prepare financial reporting submissions, supporting schedules and analysis in line with Group requirements and deadlines.
- Support preparation of statutory financial statements, year‑end audits and financial reviews, including audit schedules and information requests.
- Work with Tax, Treasury, Shared Services and external providers to support accounting and reporting requirements.
- Perform assigned financial controls and maintain appropriate supporting evidence and audit trails.
- Support the Finance transition and separation programme, including knowledge transfer, process documentation, data validation and testing.
- Support improvements to finance processes, systems and reporting as the new organisation is established.
What We’re Looking For
- Training towards or holding an Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Relevant experience in accounting, finance, audit or financial operations.
- Experience with general ledger accounting, journals, reconciliations and financial close processes.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
- Exposure to financial reporting, statutory accounts and/or external audit would be advantageous.
- Experience in a multinational, shared services or changing business environment would be beneficial.
- Good working knowledge of ERP systems; SAP experience would be advantageous.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
- Part‑qualified or studying towards ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent would be advantageous but is not essential.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good accounting, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Well organised and able to manage multiple activities and deadlines.
- Hands‑on approach and comfortable working with transactions, reconciliations and financial data.
