Perspectum Ltd in Oxford is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our Finance team. You will help ensure the integrity of financial reporting, support statutory reporting, revenue recognition, tax, payroll oversight, audits, and month-end activities while strengthening internal controls.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualification is required.
• Post-qualification experience in financial accounting role.
• Strong IFRS 15 knowledge and financial reporting standards.
• Experience preparing statutory accounts and supporting external audits.
• Excellent Excel and financial systems skills.
• Knowledge of UK tax and accounting regulations.

Responsabilités

• Assists with day-to-day financial accounting activities and year-end audit preparation.
• Supports statutory accounts preparation for the UK Group and entities.
• Prepares monthly and quarterly Board reporting.
• Manages revenue recognition process and reviews customer contracts.
• Prepares and reviews balance sheet reconciliations across the Group.
• Supports month-end and year-end close processes.
• Maintains internal controls and strengthen finance processes.
• Provides systems support and mentors junior team members.

We're looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join our Finance team in Oxford. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong accountant who enjoys improving processes, partnering with stakeholders, and making a meaningful impact within a fast-paced, innovative organisation.

About the Role

You'll play a key role in ensuring the integrity of Perspectum's financial reporting and compliance across the Group. You'll support statutory reporting, revenue recognition, tax, payroll oversight, audit, and month-end activities while helping strengthen financial controls and continuously improve finance processes.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be responsible for:

• Supporting the Senior Accounting Manager with day-to-day financial accounting activities and year-end audit preparation.
• Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts for the UK Group and individual entities.
• Supporting the preparation of monthly and quarterly Board reporting.
• Managing the revenue recognition process, including reviewing customer contracts and supporting revenue calculations.
• Preparing and first reviewing of balance sheet reconciliations across the Group.
• Supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts.
• Monitor and control expenses to ensure they align with budgetary constraints.
• Supporting UK and US tax compliance and SOX controls.
• Documenting finance processes and strengthening internal controls.
• Providing systems support across the Finance function.
• Building strong relationships across Finance and the wider business.
• Providing support and mentorship to members of the Finance team.
• Contributing to continuous improvement projects and wider finance initiatives.
• Supporting the Senior Accounting Manager in other Finance initiatives and ad hoc projects as required.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines excellent technical accounting knowledge with a proactive, collaborative approach.

• ACA/ACCA (or equivalent).
• Post-qualification experience in a financial accounting role.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS 15.
• Experience preparing statutory accounts and supporting external audits.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Experience of mentoring and supporting junior team members.
• Excellent Excel and financial systems skills.
• Knowledge of UK tax and accounting regulations.
• Exceptional analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• A proactive, organised approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business.
• Experience within medical technology, life sciences or biotechnology.
• Experience working in a high-growth or scaling organisation.
• Knowledge of international accounting standards.
