Job summary

Stannah Stairlifts, based in Newburn, UK, is seeking a Final Process Checking Operator (Masting) to join the Rail Manufacturing Team. You will carry out final inspections, interpret technical drawings, and perform polishing and cosmetic finishing to ensure right-first-time products that meet safety and quality standards.

You will work 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, accuracy, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment that values quality

Stannah Stairlifts have an exciting opportunity for a Final Process Checking Operator (Masting) to join the Rail Manufacturing Team based at Newburn.

This role is responsible for ensuring finished products meet the highest quality standards before being distributed to customers. You will carry out final inspections, interpret technical drawings, complete polishing and cosmetic finishing work, and ensure products are right first time while maintaining safety, quality, cost, and delivery standards.

As a Final Process Checking Operator (Masting), you will work 37 hours per week Monday to Thursday 06:15 - 16:00. This is a permanent position.

This is a great opportunity for someone with manufacturing experience who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys working in a team-focused environment. If you have experience working with technical drawings, fine tolerances, and quality inspection processes, we'd love to hear from you.

To be successful as a Final Process Checking Operator (Masting), it is essential that you have previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment and are confident interpreting technical drawings. Experience in polishing, cosmetic finishing, and working to fine tolerances would be desirable.
