Job summary

Stannah is seeking a Final Process Checking Operator (Masting) to join the Rail Manufacturing Team at Newburn, ensuring finished products meet the highest quality standards before distribution. You will perform final inspections, interpret technical drawings, and perform polishing and cosmetic finishing while prioritising safety, quality, cost and delivery.

The role requires experience in manufacturing/engineering, ability to read drawings, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Stannah Stairlifts have an exciting opportunity for a Final Process Checking Operator (Masting) to join the Rail Manufacturing Team based at Newburn.

This role is responsible for ensuring finished products meet the highest quality standards before being distributed to customers. You will carry out final inspections, interpret technical drawings, complete polishing and cosmetic finishing work, and ensure products are right first time while maintaining safety, quality, cost, and delivery standards.

As a Final Process Checking Operator (Masting), you will work 37 hours per weekMonday to Thursday
06:15 - 16:00. This is a permanent position.

To be successful as a Final Process Checking Operator (Masting), it is essential that you have previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment and are confident interpreting technical drawings. Experience in polishing, cosmetic finishing, and working to fine tolerances would be desirable.
