Job summary

Inside Right is seeking a Final Inspector for a 6-month assignment in Warwick. Shift: 16:30–02:30, Mon-Thu, with optional overtime Friday. You will manually and visually inspect precision components, run CMM/optical systems, and complete FAIR packs to ensure product conformity.

Responsibilities include maintaining calibration, documenting inspections, and adhering to ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100 standards. A strong focus on quality, traceability, and continuous improvement is required.

Qualifications

  • Background in aerospace, precision engineering, or quality manufacturing.
  • Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and data.
  • Competence with precision measurement tools and optical/CMM machinery.

Job description

Exciting 6 month assignment opportunity has come up for a Final inspector position

Shift: 16:30 till 02:30 Monday to Thursday. Friday optional overtime day.

Core Duties
  • First-Off & Final Inspection: Perform manual and visual checks on precision engineering components.
  • CMM & Optical Equipment: Run pre-setup CMM programs and optical inspection systems (like Keyence, Scan, OGP) to sentence parts.
  • Documentation: Populate inspection databases and complete FAIR (First Article Inspection Requirement) packs.
  • Non-Conformance: Support internal reject and containment processes
Responsibilities specific to the wider role
  • Work with the team to create and maintain a Quality focused culture throughout the business.
  • Dimensionally and visually inspect products to detailed technical drawings and specifications
  • Carry out first offs, last offs, incoming material and final inspection checks.
  • Investigate and analyse and non-conforming product or any deviation to specification and raise Concession requests and when required, Non-conformance reports.
  • Accurately complete manufacturing records, ensuring accuracy and full product and process traceability.
  • Ensure all documentation and calibration of equipment is current and correct
  • Ensure that all inspection standards, as agreed with customers' specifications, are carried out effectively before processing and at the inspection/despatch stage
  • Ensure full compliance of the Company quality system with the requirements of our international standards ISO 9001: 2008 & AS9100 and in line with customer approvals.
General responsibilities
  • Comply with all company Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements.
  • Read and understand the requirements on the Job Card for the operation to be carried out.
  • Ensure that all the documentation required to carry out the operation in accordance with the Job Card is available at the point of use and at the correct revision.
  • Read and understand all manufacturing instructions prior to commencing an operation, this includes Machine and Tooling Set Up Packs as required, Engineering Drawings, Data Cards, Inspection Plans etc.
  • Use of all measuring equipment as defined within Inspection Plans to check conformance to requirements.
  • Carry out in process inspection in accordance with relevant inspection plans to ensure that components are conforming prior to passing on to subsequent operations.
  • Ensure that components identified as non-conforming during in process inspection are identified and communicated in accordance with the Non-Conformance Procedure.
  • Complete all work booking requirements within the MRP system to ensure accurate WIP records.
  • Follow work handling and storage instructions to prevent damage to components.
  • Support Root Cause Analysis activities when non-conformance occurs to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Carry out and record all TPM activities in accordance with the specified schedule for the equipment being operated.
  • Ensure that work areas are tidy, cleaned and maintained in accordance with 5S requirements.
  • Engage and contribute to Continuous Improvement activities to maximise efficiency.
