Job summary

LOVE is seeking passionate, compassionate support workers to join the LOVE@Care Team in Scotland. You will support children, young people and adults in the community, following care plans, building relationships, and collaborating with families and partner agencies.

We provide induction, ongoing training, and opportunities for career development, with a focus on delivering positive outcomes for those we support.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with people with autism or learning disabilities would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting children, young people and adults within the community, attending fun clubs, classes and other activities.
  • Following and updating each child's individual care plan, ensuring you are working towards appropriate outcomes.
  • Building good relationships with children, young people and adults, encouraging them to achieve their goals.
  • Working with parents and partner agencies to ensure the best opportunities for clients.
  • Communicating and documenting important information to colleagues and management.
  • Attending meetings and contributing to a supportive, efficient team.
  • Understanding safeguarding and child protection legislation.

As a Duel Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting our children, young people and adults within the community, attending fun clubs, classes and other activities.

  • Following and updating each child's individual care plan, always ensuring you are working towards appropriate outcomes.

  • Building good relationships with our children, young people and adults, encouraging them to achieve their goals.

  • Working in a positive way with parents and partner agencies to ensure the best opportunities are available for our clients.

  • The ability to communicate and document important relevant information and any updates to colleagues and management.

  • Attending meetings as appropriate and to participate in the effective, supportive, and efficient working of the team.

  • Having an understanding of the principles of safeguarding and child protection legislation.
