Job summary

Autism Initiatives, Chorley, is seeking a Support Worker (Driver) to provide personalised support to autistic individuals in their homes and communities. You will promote independence, assist with activities such as swimming or cinema trips, and help plan engaging, goal-driven activities.

We offer comprehensive training, DBS, career progression, and a supportive team ready to help you grow in Health and Social Care. Applicants must hold a UK driving license.

Support Worker, Chorley (Driver)

£26,485.76 per annum based on a 39-hour working week

Please note, that due to the requirements of this role candidates who apply and confirm they are a driver must hold a valid UK driving license.

Who we are looking for:

As a Support Worker, we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and will enjoy joining a dynamic team that encourages people with autism to enjoy an active lifestyle. Community activities could include swimming, accessing walking groups or trips to the cinema. You will also promote health and well-being and support individuals to maintain their home. The support we deliver is flexible and unique to each individual, building on their strengths and driven by their goals.

We are looking for people who share and demonstrate our values. You may have a background or understanding of supporting autistic people, but if not don't worry, we have great training and a friendly team to support you every step of the way.
