Job summary

MacGregor Industrial Supplies Ltd. in Inverness is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose, service and repair compressors, pressure washers and related equipment. The role covers workshop and customer-site work with a company vehicle provided.

In-house training will build your product knowledge and skills across our equipment range. You’ll join a team focused on reliability, safety and excellent service for our hire fleet and customers.

Qualifications

• Practical mechanical and/or electrical servicing and repair experience.
• Methodical fault finding and willingness to learn.
• Good organisation and workload management.
• Friendly, professional approach with customers and colleagues.
• Commitment to safe working and accurate record keeping.
• Full driving licence for travel to customer sites.
• Experience with compressors or pressure washers would be useful.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out mechanical and electrical diagnostics, servicing, repairs and testing.
• Preparing equipment for customers through pre-delivery inspections and safety checks.
• Identifying parts needed and organising repairs and quotes.
• Keeping customers, Parts and Hire Desk informed about progress.
• Completing clear job tickets, timesheets and service records.
• Keeping workshop and allocated vehicle safe and well maintained.
• Responding to urgent customer callouts during working hours and supporting other branches when required.

Service Technician – Compressors & Pressure Washers

Location : Inverness

Hours : 37.5 hours per week

Enjoy finding the fault and getting things working again? Join MacGregor Industrial Supplies in a practical, varied role where your skills help keep our customers and hire fleet moving. Working both in the workshop and on customer sites, you’ll diagnose, service and repair compressors, pressure washers and other hire and customer equipment. From tracking down a fault to testing a completed repair, you’ll see the difference your work makes every day. In-house training will be provided, helping you build your product knowledge and develop your skills across our equipment range.

What you’ll be doing

• Carrying out mechanical and electrical diagnostics, servicing, repairs and testing.
