Job summary

Severn Trent is hiring an Operational Technician to join the Waste Water Recycling team in the Stoke Bardolph area. You will carry out routine operational and maintenance activities, take samples, analyse results, and support asset performance to keep the system flowing.

Aviation safety guidance applies and you will work to health and safety standards. The role offers 37 hours per week, Monday–Friday, with standby/call-out on occasion.

Qualifications

• Experience in wastewater treatment is welcome but not essential.
• Willingness to learn and develop through the Academy.

Responsibilities

• Keep sewage treatment works and pumping stations running smoothly.
• Take process samples, analyse results, and record performance data.
• Support first-line asset maintenance and energy efficiency improvements.
• Plan daily tasks and respond to alarms or emergencies.
• Collaborate on major capital projects and commissioning.
